This chapter reinforces the need for honesty and integrity in the internet age. Taking someone else’s property, whether it is the physical or virtual act, is stealing. We need to educate ourselves, colleagues, and students on fair use and copyright violations. When in doubt, don’t!
There are endless learning opportunities for students and teachers when using blogs, wikis, and RSS. These allow for teachers to engage students in writing, researching, and collaborating in a new, but familiar, form to create original products. It also provides teachers professional collaboration on a variety of subjects to assist them in becoming better educators. I think this is an outstanding tool for teachers.
Try these on for instruction possibilities!
